Epping Forest Yacht Club in Northeast Florida is seeking an Assistant Tennis Professional to join our team. This teaching-focused role delivers private lessons, clinics, and ladies’ team practices for players of all ages and skill levels.

Approximately 15 hours per week of clinics are available immediately, with an additional 10–15 hours of private lessons and potential for more teaching hours. Applicants should have strong playing and teaching skills and a willingness to pursue USPTA or PTR

Qualifications

• Strong playing and technical teaching skills for players from approximately age 5 through adulthood.
• Knowledge of junior and adult tennis programming.
• Clear communication and an engaging teaching style.
• USPTA or PTR certification preferred or willingness to work toward certification.
• Ability to teach on court for extended periods, up to eight hours a day, in varying weather conditions.
• Availability for a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Teach private lessons, group clinics, and ladies’ team practices.
• Help plan and deliver junior and adult tennis programs.
• Adapt instruction to players with different ages, abilities, and goals.
• Keep accurate records of lessons, clinics, and hours taught.
• Welcome members and guests and provide attentive, professional service.
• Attend required training and departmental meetings, and report safety concerns.
• Complete other tennis instruction duties assigned by the Tennis Director.

This is a teaching focused position working alongside the Head Tennis Professional to deliver private lessons, clinics, and ladies’ team practices for players of all ages and skill levels. Approximately 15 hours per week of clinics are available immediately, with an additional 10–15 hours of private lessons and the potential for more teaching hours. There are no pro shop hours or court maintenance duties. The position includes an hourly wage for hours worked and a percentage of lessons and clinics taught.
