Job summary

ABB is seeking a Tender / Quotation Specialist focusing on Low Voltage Motor Control Centers in a hybrid role, preferably located at the Houston, TX facility or the Mebane, NC plant. You will craft bids, estimates and quotations aligned with customer specs and budget to balance cost and margin, while gathering all technical and commercial data for proposals.

The role requires a technical background in ANSI/IEC low voltage equipment, 5+ years in relevant fields, and strong MS Office/SharePoint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in related field.
• Strong technical background with ANSI/IEC low voltage gear and/or motor control centers.
• 5+ years in engineering, sales, quotations, proposals or manufacturing.
• Prior proposals experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SharePoint; programming skills a plus; US work authorization required for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Formulate competitive bids, estimates and quotations considering optimal product mix and technical/commercial aspects.
• Create well-documented tenders with full and accurate costs in a timely manner.
• Manage technical, financial and project management aspects of bid/estimate/quotation, including prices and trading terms.
• Ensure inputs for bid/edit activities are provided on time and according to quality procedures.
