Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Specialist to support the end-to-end tender process for power grid opportunities. You will work with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Solutions, and Support to develop compliant, high-quality bids aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with software tenders.
• Excellent English grammar and writing skills, including drafting, reviewing, and editing documents.
• High proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Office 365.
• Sound commercial understanding and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, coordination and multi-tasking across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end tender process from bid qualification to proposal submission and approval.
• Collaborate with Sales to define business setup strategies and proposed delivery approaches.
• Gather and coordinate proposal content from stakeholders across sales, finance, legal, product, solutions, and support functions.
• Develop bid documentation and proposal materials aligned with branding and customer requirements.
• Support commercial reviews by evaluating contract implications, commercial considerations, and risks.
• Coordinate risk review activities and maintain risk tracking throughout the bid process.
• Prepare price estimates and full cost models to support margin objectives and governance.
• Support internal governance and approval processes while meeting bid deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and guidelines.
