Job summary

Nexus Family Healing seeks a Temporary Relief Youth Care Professional to join our new Psychiatric Residential Treatment facility opening this summer in Eugene, Oregon. The role supports residents, collaborates with the treatment team, and ensures a safe, therapeutic environment at our residential site.

Pay starts at $23.00+ per hour with PRN scheduling and benefits; the location is 2675 Martin Luther King Jr Blv, Eugene.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Desire to work in human services and care for at‑risk youth.
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities.
• Willingness to meet cultural needs of communities including language, traditions, and values.
• Completion of a three-part Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training.

Responsibilities

• Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan of residents by guiding daily living activities.
• Mentor and supervise residents at daily activities and behavior per guidelines.
• Collaborate with coworkers to implement treatment plans and therapeutic services.
• Remain aware of resident phases, privileges, restrictions and adapt interactions accordingly.
• Ensure resident safety and maintain a positive, respectful, therapeutic environment.
• Engage families/support networks to reinforce positive partnerships and follow protocols for family involvement.
• Plan and participate in off-site activities and assist in transporting residents to visits and appointments.
