Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City is seeking a Temporary Warehouse Worker to perform receiving, warehousing, picking, packing and shipping duties. The role supports global distribution with heavy equipment and requires adherence to safety and accuracy standards.

Responsibilities include records, inventory, weight/dimensions, operating forklifts, training within first year, and ensuring compliance with Church policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Previous warehouse, material handling, or related experience preferred.
• Experience operating motorized material handling equipment, including forklifts, preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Church forklift/material handling equipment certification within 6 weeks of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license required when job duties include operating vehicles, with appropriate licensing for the vehicle(s) driven.
• Must be able to lift, move, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance from another person.
• Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps to store and retrieve materials.
• Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack carrying loads up to 2,500 pounds.
• Must be willing to attend training during the first year of employment to develop knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Demonstrates the physical capability and flexibility required to work in a warehouse and distribution environment.
