Job summary

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Temporary Warehouse Materials Technician to join our Materials Management team. This temporary role supports special projects and may involve work at multiple sites.

You will issue parts, ship/receive materials, perform cycle counts, process paperwork, maintain stock levels, inspect shipments, organize layouts, and deliver equipment to various buildings and sites. Driving to multiple warehouses and standing in weather are required; forklift experience is

Qualifications

• Experience with operating a forklift; current forklift certification valued.
• Knowledge of warehousing procedures and inventory control.
• Experience with computer hardware and software applications.
• Ability to effectively exchange information with others.

Responsibilities

• Issue parts and tools to personnel.
• Ship and receive parts, tools, and materials.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Process paperwork for receiving/issuing stock items.
• Maintain adequate supply levels of parts and materials.
• Perform inspections on shipments received.
• Organize warehouse layouts.
• Deliver equipment, materials, and supplies to various buildings and work sites.
• Support Procurement Associate or staff to resolve receipt and payment issues.
