Job summary

Hearst Magazines seeks a Temporary Video Editor for Men’s Health and Women’s Health to shape health storytelling across digital, social, and broadcast platforms. You will edit short- and long-form video using Adobe Creative Suite, deliver under tight deadlines, and collaborate with producers and editors to refine narratives.

Based in New York City, you’ll work in-office four days a week, manage media workflows, and contribute creative ideas that elevate brand voices.

Qualifications

3+ years in video editing and post-production.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with Avid Media Composer or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, and shot selection.
Experience with audio mixing and color correction/grading.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Based in NYC and able to work in-office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

Edit short- and long-form video content for digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
Implement feedback from producers and editorial teams to refine storytelling.
Deliver high-quality video projects on deadline with attention to detail.
Manage media workflows including ingesting, organizing, archiving, and tracking assets.
Apply best practices for media storage and maintain organized project files.
Collaborate with production teams in planning and executing shoots.
Contribute creative ideas that elevate storytelling and align with Hearst brands.
