The Lewis University Police Department is a trained, professional organization committed to providing a safe and secure educational and working environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
The bus driver and program are under the supervision of the University Police Department. The function of the bus driver is to provide a skilled licensed operator to drive the University’s shuttle bus both on and off campus as required.
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
Possess High School Diploma or GED . Be 21 years of age or above. Possess Commercial Driver’s License ( CDL ) with Passenger Endorsements. Have excellent driving record. Pass criminal background investigation. Perform physical demands of the position. Comply with DOT medical policy.
One to three years minimum of CDL driving experience. Previous experience as a bus driver or school bus driver.
Will vary depending on established schedule; 4 hour shifts. Late afternoon into evening hours, weekdays and weekends.
