Grant Community High School District 124 is seeking Bus Drivers for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include safely transporting students on established routes and ensuring their safety during transport.
Candidates need a valid Illinois Drivers' License and the ability to obtain a CDL Class B with endorsements. The position requires adherence to district policies, maintenance of bus cleanliness, and supervision of students while boarding and alighting. Training and licensing costs will be covered.
Two positions available for 2026-2027 school year. One driving a special needs bus and one driving a 71-passenger yellow bus. We will pay for all training and licensing. Clean driving record required, and mandatory annual and federal random drug testing.

The job of Bus Driver is to safely operate a passenger bus, for the purpose of safely transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from school district sponsored events; ensuring the school bus is operating safely; and ensuring the safety of students, during transport and while loading and unloading from the school bus.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; intermittent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; and continual manual hand and finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking and 15% standing.
