Ysgol Yr Hafod, Johnstown are looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in our Resourced Provision Class.

Our Resourced provision class supports up to 11 ALN pupils(age 7-11) with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for someone who:-
1. has high expectations of what children can achieve regardless of their level of ability
2. is passionate about working with children with ALN and supporting their needs
3. promotes high levels of wellbeing and uses positive behaviour management
4. has a good understanding of the importance of active learning and supports children with their individual development plans
5. can work under the guidance of the class teacher and show initiative and creativity
6. will deliver interventions to support wellbeing, literacy and numeracy
7. will support the development and maintenance of areas of continuous provision
8. has good communication skills with children, staff and parents
9. will work well as part of a team.
10. will support children to spend time in main stream classes where appropriate.
