An established educational institution is seeking temporary summer laborers for its technology department. This role involves assisting with various technology tasks, including device setup and repair, as well as software installation.   • TEMPORARY SUMMER TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT LABORER

    4 Positions

    Temporary Seasonal summer (May-August)

    • Pay, work schedule and other conditions of employment in accordance with current District applicable policies and/or agreements

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Technology Department tasks as assigned by supervisor may include but not limited to, device unboxing, device set up, installing cases, sorting and organizing, and distribution of devices to classrooms.
    • Device repair as assigned
    • Installing software/hardware as assigned
    • Installing Wifi access points as assigned
    • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor, including, but not limited to the position specifications

    Terms of Employment:

    • Heavy work requiring lifting of 30 pounds or more
    • Visual and auditory acuity
    • Ability to work in outdoor environment where temperatures may be below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees
    • Exposure to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as closeness to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, scaffolding or high places, high heat and chemicals
    • Ability to work as a member of a team
    • Must be courteous, cooperative, and able to deal effectively with people
    • Ability to work in various environments with frequent interruption
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to complete tasks and assignments with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work independently and organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks
    • Ability to exercise good judgement and communicate effectively
    • Must possess ability to maintain confidentially with school matters

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Valid PA Driver’s License
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have (or will obtain) current PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse & FBI Criminal History background checks
