Summer 2025 - Temporary Summer Cleaner (multiple positions available)
8 hours per day - 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Full-time work includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Summer work dates: Earliest mid-May to late August / early September
Work Hours: based on the location of the assignment; usual start times are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (includes a 30-min. unpaid lunch).
This position is not benefit eligible due to temporary status.
West Irondequoit Central School District Buildings. Hired staff will be assigned to a specific location; K-3 building assignments involve working at all K-3 buildings throughout the District.
Working knowledge of building cleaning procedures, cleansing agents, and proper applications. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, perform repetitive cleaning tasks, and lift/carry 50 pounds. See general Civil Service description below for reference.
Required skills:
The fingerprinting cost is the responsibility of the applicant at hire.
Cleaning experience preferred but willing to train.
$15.50 per hour (no shift differential).
