Section: Laboratory School

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit: Knowledge of the approaches to early learning is desirable. Writing lesson plans using Ready Rosie; Teaching Strategies; and/or the Creative Curriculum. Communicate professionally with staff, children, families and other professionals.

Description of Work: Knowledge of the approaches to early learning is desirable. Writing lesson plans using Ready Rosie; Teaching Strategies; and/or the Creative Curriculum. Communicate professionally with staff, children, families and other professionals.

Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position:

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with a strong customer service orientation are essential.
  2. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are highly desirable.
  3. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with staff, children and families, and other professionals.
  4. Previous child care experience is preferred.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:

Management Preferences: Previous work experience in child care settings is highly desirable. High School diploma required. CPR and First-Aid is preferred but not required.
