Job summary

Chehalis School District is seeking a Temporary Special Educational Paraprofessional at Chehalis Middle School for a leave replacement from Jan. 4, 2027 to Apr. 30, 2027 (78 days).

The role runs 7.0 hours daily (7:20 am–2:50 pm) with duties including student supervision, support for teachers, and clerical tasks. Responsibilities include adapting assignments, assisting with safety and behavior, and helping maintain learning environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one of the following: paraeducator assessment score or college credits.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers and supervises students under direct supervision.
• Relieves teachers of routine clerical tasks and supports lesson delivery.
• Supports students in daily living and behavioral skills.
• Maintains classroom records and assists with scheduling.
