Job summary

Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist students with disabilities during the school day, with duties including instructional support, supervision and data collection. The role runs 6.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday, from late August through early December 2026.

Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds, follow directions, and work collaboratively with teachers is required.

Job Duties

Duties may include:

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the school day with instruction in basic skills, social skills and routine assistance for students who need support with managing extreme behaviors, toileting, hygiene, medical and mobility needs
• Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety
• Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
• Attach passing exam scores from either the ParaPro / ParaEducator or college transcripts to your application.

SALARY And BENEFITS

Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees AgreementLevel VI from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour.

Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions. Benefits may include the following:
