Job summary

The Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking a Temporary Special Ed Life Skills Education Support Professional at Roosevelt Elementary School. You will assist the Special Education teacher with educational activities and the daily care of students, ensuring supportive supervision throughout classes and during classroom transitions.

The role requires ISBE licensure and experience with children, plus the ability to collaborate with district staff.

Qualifications

Licensed through ISBE.
Experience with children is required.
Ability to work with district staff.

Responsibilities

Assist the Special Education teacher in providing support for educational activities and physical care of students.
Assist with record-keeping, data collection, materials preparation, and other clerical tasks.
Supervise classroom activities or lessons for individuals/small groups of children.
Supervise students' playground and leisure time activities during the school day.
Support students in the general education environment as assigned by the teacher.
Perform other duties assigned by the classroom teacher and/or building principal.
