REPORTS TO: Senior Social Media Coordinator

LOCATION: New York, NY

POSITION SUMMARY: The Temporary Social Media Assistant will support the Marketing team with day-to-day social media activities, including community engagement, content development, scheduling, trend research, and performance tracking. This hands-on internship is designed for someone eager to build practical experience in social media marketing while learning how to communicate in a consistent brand voice and engage customers, creators, and brand advocates across digital platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with monitoring comments, direct messages, mentions, and tagged content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
• Draft timely, thoughtful, and brand-aligned responses for review and approval.
• Support the creation of social media content, including captions, graphics, short-form videos, and story concepts.
• Help maintain weekly and monthly content calendars and assist with scheduling/publishing approved content across social platforms, either natively or through social media management tools.
• Assist with social listening across brand and product conversations, helping flag notable posts or emerging issues and identify high-quality user-generated content for potential reposting.
• Research social trends, cultural moments, competitor activity, and relevant creators to inform content ideas.
• Assist with influencer and creator outreach, coordination, product seeding, and campaign tracking.
• Track basic social media metrics, community feedback, and recurring questions to support performance reporting and future content planning.
• Organize social media assets and help ensure content follows brand guidelines and platform best practices.
• Support photo and video shoots, product launches, campaigns, and live or virtual events as needed.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and PR teams on assigned projects and administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Communications, Digital Media, Fashion, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in social media, digital marketing, content creation, or community engagement through coursework, student organizations, personal projects, or prior internship experience.
• Working knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.
• Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Interest in social media trends, creator culture, fashion, and digital storytelling.
• Must be available for occasional weekend coverage based on business needs.
• Must be able to work in-office at least three days per week.

Salary: $17 - $22/hour

This is a paid, non-exempt role. The hourly rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and applicable wage requirements. Overtime, if approved and worked, will be paid in accordance with federal and state wage laws.
