The Idaho Transportation Department is recruiting for a Transportation Technician to work up to 5 months. This announcement will be used to fill a position in Idaho City, Idaho. Thistemporary position will provide additional support to keep our highways safe and clear this winter season.

Idaho Transportation Department is seeking an individual who is hardworking and interested in a seasonal snow removal equipment operator position. This individual needs to be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as with a team to provide a high-quality service.

AClass B (or greater) CDL is requiredand training will be provided to operate the equipment.

Hourly rates are based on snowplow experience:

0 to 2 winter seasons = $21.05
2.1 - 3.9 winter seasons = $22.60
4+ winter seasons = $24.14
6 + winter seasons = $25.83

General Information:

• This work involves working in all types of weather conditions, under hazardous conditions, on congested highways, around operating equipment and in a noisy environment
• Working irregular shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays is frequently required
• This work involves physically demanding tasks such as clearing brush and lifting and carrying heavy objects
