Job summary

Four Seasons in California seeks a Temporary Seamstress/Tailor to ensure employee uniforms meet our exacting standards and to support hotel operations through alteration of textiles. You will also assist guests with tailoring needs while maintaining a professional appearance and high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include measuring, fitting, repairing and maintaining linens, bedspreads, and draperies, with strong emphasis on safety, organization and timely service.

Qualifications

• Legal work authorization in United States.
• Experience in tailoring, sewing, alterations, or garment repair.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Experience with uniforms, garments, linens or textiles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels of employee uniforms.
• Measure employees and alter for precise fit.
• Conduct uniform fittings and adjustments for presentation standards.
• Repair uniforms and perform ongoing alterations and maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain bedspreads, drapes, linens and textiles.
• Create sewn items for operating departments.
• Assist guests with tailoring requests professionally.
• Support Laundry, Valet and Housekeeping during peak periods.
• Deliver completed items to guests when required.
• Maintain safe, organized and professional work environment.
