Job summary

Garrett County Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Food and Nutrition Services Assistant to support students and staff across county sites. The role involves preparing and serving meals and maintaining a safe, sanitary cafeteria environment in line with district standards.

Compensation includes a daily rate of $15.75 per hour, with a long-term rate of $16.25 per hour after ten consecutive days in the same assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic math, read and follow instructions.
• Ability to understand multi-step written and oral instructions.
• Stand, sit, walk, and lift 40–60 lbs as needed.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certification within one year.
