Job Summary:

Arizona Liver Health/Arizona Clinical Trials is looking for qualified candidates for the TEMPORARY Research Pharmacy Technician position in Peoria.

Title: TEMPORARY -- Research Pharmacy Technician (Peoria, AZ)

Compensation: $30 per hour, depending on experience

Status:Full-time, 3-Month Contract (eligible for overtime)

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of investigational products prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their medication in compliance with the guidelines of the protocol
• Stocking the pharmacy with inventory
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Disbursing completed and confirmed meds to patients
• Answering incoming calls and fielding patient questions
• Maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy by complying with regulations, rules and procedures
• Maintain accountability logs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least one (1) year experience working as a pharmacy tech at a private practice, hospital, or pharmacy setting
• Adhere to IRB approved protocols
• Understand good clinical practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance
• Comply with institutional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Availability to work weekends as needed
• Effective communication, excellent attention to detail, strong information and time management, and administrative/computer skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
• Associate degree or active Pharmacy Tech license preferred
• Minimum(1) year experience working in a clinical research setting preferred
• 5 days Sick Time
• Shared company vehicles for required travel

Travel Requirements:

• Some inter-office travel may be required as needed with the use of a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.

• Must have valid documentation and authorization to work in the U.S.for any employer
