Job summary

Mindrift is conducting a paid, in-person study in Midtown Manhattan to understand how Italian speakers use their phones and apps in daily life. We’re seeking native Italian speakers living in New York for a 3-day participation window, starting October 16, with sessions Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat.

Participants will learn how language and culture influence digital behavior and will complete a short questionnaire after their sessions. Compensation is $100 per hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.

Qualifications

• Native Italian speaker who grew up in Italy.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.

Mindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We’re looking for native Italian speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.

Most technology is still designed with English speakers in mind. This study helps researchers understand how people who communicate in Italian actually use their devices, so future products work better for them.

Who we’re looking for

• 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• A native Italian speaker who grew up in Italy.
• You use Italian in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.

Great fit for international students, people new to NYC, and anyone between jobs or with a flexible schedule.

Compensation

$100/hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.
