Rutgers School of Public Health ( SPH ) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, located in Piscataway, NJ.

The Shiau Research Group is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects addressing comorbidities associated with infections, including HIV , across the lifespan. The Temporary Research Assistant will work under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Shiau in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at School of Public Health ( SPH ).

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student interested in developing expertise in data analysis methods for epidemiological research and gaining transferable skills in scientific communication.

Duties include:

  • Conducts statistical analyses.
  • Produces reports and assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts for publication
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must possess quantitative analytic skills and have appropriate training in epidemiology and/or biostatistics.
  • Must have high level expertise in use of statistical software including SAS and R programming.
