Position Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Center for Immunity and Inflammation within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). Temporary, full-time position. Under direction, the Temporary Research Assistant performs and assists with technical laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. Assists in the set-up, and conducting of experiments as required. Performs other related laboratory duties as required.

  • Under general guidance, provides laboratory and technical support involving research methods and techniques.
  • Performs multistage purifications, other assays and tests; propagates specimens and cell cultures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with numerous individuals on all facets of the project.
  • Assists with experimentation and research activities.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the Laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments.

Salary Details

Minimum Salary: 15.92

Mid Range Salary: 75.00

Maximum Salary: 150.00

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.
