What You Should Bring

The ideal candidate will hold a nationally recognized fitness certification, demonstrating expertise in designing and leading group fitness programs tailored to the unique needs of older adults. Silver Sneakers training is preferred, showcasing a specialized understanding of senior fitness dynamics. The role involves conducting group fitness assessments, creating diverse and engaging exercise routines, and fostering a supportive atmosphere. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are key to cultivating a sense of community within the group.

Minimum Requirements:
Associate Degree and four (4) years of experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certification: Possess a nationally recognized fitness certification, demonstrating expertise in group fitness instruction.
Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in leading group fitness classes, preferably with a focus on older adults.
CPR/First Aid Certification: Hold a current CPR and First Aid certification to ensure the safety and well-being of participants during fitness sessions.
Knowledge: Demonstrate a solid understanding of fitness assessment techniques, exercise program design, and modifications for diverse fitness levels.
Weekday Morning Availability Highly Preferred: Ideal candidates should have flexibility and availability during weekday mornings, optimizing participation and engagement within the senior community.
