Position Overview

We have a temporary Quality Inspector position available at our Hillsboro, OR location. This role offers a limited benefits package and is expected to last around 6 months. High performers may have the opportunity to transition to permanent employment, gaining valuable industry experience and potentially securing a long-term position.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming parts and paperwork to meet production requirements based on drawings and specifications.
  • Verify supplier documentation and labels comply with purchase orders, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain complete and compliant inspection records and sampling processes.
  • Create non-conformance reports (NCM), perform containment actions, and support MRB requests.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Use inspection tools appropriately, ensuring measurement accuracy and selecting suitable methods per documented requirements.
Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred.
  • Experience with measuring precision mechanical, optical components, and PCBs using tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, microscopes, and CMMs.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience inspecting laser diode assemblies and fiber optics is a plus.
  • ISO 9001 experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand basic quality concepts.
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment and recognizing measurement errors.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and use microscopes.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay depends on qualifications:

  • Quality Inspector I: $19.00 - $23.00/hr
  • Quality Inspector II: $21.00 - $25.00/hr
