SUMMARY

Responsible for communicating with suppliers to ensure that critical deliveries arrive at our dock, must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows up with supplier on past due purchase orders.
  • Expedites parts that are critical for the operation.
  • Contact suppliers to get tracking information on critical parts.
  • Maintain constant contact with vendors to verify parts will arrive to our dock on time.
  • Tracks shipments to our dock.
  • Notify supervisor in a timely manner if a critical delivery is delayed.
  • Informs pricing discrepancy to the buyer.
  • Ensures acknowledgments are received.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read and understand English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
