Job summary

Children’s Council of San Francisco is seeking a Temporary Provider Care Representative to support the Payment Team in handling calls and inquiries from providers and families. The role requires in-person work five days per week at the Children’s Council building, with a focus on compassionate, community-oriented service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to de-escalate and handle upset providers with patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone, in-person, and electronic support for providers and families requiring assistance with payment status and inquiries.
• Use active listening and de-escalation to resolve issues and connect with clients through shared experiences.
• Maintain fluency in payment policies and procedures to deliver the best service.
• Research client inquiries using Teams and other tools; follow up with providers with appropriate resolutions.
• Document services, complaints, and discrepancies in the CC4 system for tracking purposes.
• Attend meetings related to service delivery and staff development.
• Track data on call volume and inquiries; propose process improvements with management.
• Perform administrative duties to support payment and family benefits teams.
