Overview

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Central or South Florida

This is a short-term position expected to last approximately 30 days. We are seeking an experienced leader to provide immediate, on-the-ground support during a critical implementation period.

The Director of Programs will lead the implementation of Ampact Programs, ensuring all stakeholders have an exceptional experience and the program is making an impact for program participants. This position will be responsible for providing on-the-ground leadership for program implementation and work collaboratively with the Director of Florida to launch programs in new regions and in new communities. This position will supervise additional program staff as allocated. This position will observe confidentiality of all member, program and organizational information.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to the overall program, establishing an annual timeline of key activities essential for effective program implementation and leading the team to meet all milestones. Collaborate with key positions in the national office to establish local procedures that lead to strong site partnerships, a positive member experience with high enrollment and retention, efficient training structures, and fidelity of program implementation for strong student outcomes. Ensure regional staff recruitment and retention. Supervise and develop regional program staff.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise 3 team members managing 5 programs; conduct regular 1:1 meetings; coach team members on data-driven practices; lead monthly program team meetings.
  • Site Partnership Development: Maintain and develop partnerships with site stakeholders, ensuring shared vision and effective program support. Oversee contracting and community engagement.
  • New Community Advancement: Collaborate with leadership to prepare for program implementation in new communities, build community connections, and promote Ampact’s brand.
  • Grant Management and Reporting: Ensure compliance with grants and contracts, prepare reports, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience: 5+ years in program management, preferably in non-profit or AmeriCorps; experience in partnership building, supervision, and managing multiple priorities; strong communication and leadership skills; proficiency with MS Office and ability to travel locally.
