Job summary
One Community Health Sacramento is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a limited term of six months to provide dispensing and clinical pharmaceutical services, supervise technicians, and support clinic staff.
The role requires a California Pharmacy Technician License, knowledge of pharmacology and formulary, accurate calculations, and strong customer service. Familiarity with EPIC and pharmacy management systems is preferred; BLS certification encouraged.
Qualifications
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician License.
- Knowledge of current California law and Medi-Cal Formulary.
- Ability to perform pharmacy calculations accurately.
- Ability to interpret physician orders and records.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and EPIC.
- Excellent communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications per orders.
- Manage technical and clerical tasks using the pharmacy management system.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory.
- Assist pharmacists and healthcare staff in patient care.
- Provide patient education and triage inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Address insurance issues and processing errors.
