Job description

The Hampton Inn & Suites Albany Airport is a dynamic and customer-focused hotel committed to providing exceptional service and experiences to our clients. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all guests and visitors. The Breakfast Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay or visit. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Breakfast Attendant must be attentive to detail, handle guest inquiries and requests, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide personalized service to all guests.
2. Preparing foods such as eggs, bacon, and sausage.
3. Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
4. Setting out/arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, donuts, cereal, etc.
5. Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
6. Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the morning.
7. Removing trash.
8. Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed.
9. Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
10. All duties around preparation, set up, and service of the complimentary breakfast.
11. Any other duties as requested by the supervisor.
12. Comply with hotel policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
2. Previous experience in customer service or a food service role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
5. Ability to stand for extended periods.
6. Maintains professional working relationships and promotes open lines of communication with managers, team members, and other departments.
