Position Summary Information

Nature of position: Temporary, part-time

Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Art & Design needs temporary part-time Instructors for courses in Interactive & Graphic Design, including:

  • Web Design
  • Motion Design
  • Experience Design
  • Package Design
  • Typography
  • Branding
  • Visual Communication
  • Computer Art

Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching a variety of topics in Interactive & Graphic Design. In addition, the instructor will write and organize curriculum, prepare lectures and demonstrations, lead discussions, evaluate student performance, grade projects, and submit final grades through MAX.

The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in Adobe software.
  • Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Successful interview.
  • Successful completion of three background checks.
