Energy Northwest is seeking a skilled Mechanic to support the biennial refueling outage at the Columbia Generating Station in Richland, WA. The role focuses on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, and rotating machinery, with advanced tasks in welding, HVAC, and crane operations.

The position requires a four-year apprenticeship or equivalent training plus extensive outage experience.

Qualifications

Four-year apprenticeship completed or equivalent training with experience.
Two-year trade school or equivalent military training plus three years of experience.
Associate degree in mechanical field plus three years of experience.
Outage workers may have a high school diploma or GED with five years of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

Install, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect, repair, and test rotating equipment such as pumps, fans and gearboxes.
Install, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect, repair, and test valves, piping, valve operators, tanks, etc.
Perform rigging duties and crane operation.
Perform specialized maintenance tasks including welding, machining, HVAC maintenance, reactor vessel maintenance, specialized valve and valve operator maintenance, specialized rotating equipment maintenance, diesel engine maintenance, and fire protection maintenance.
Decontaminate, clean, and overhaul contaminated tools and equipment.
Perform other tasks as required.
