Job description

Temporary Organizational Consulting Psychologist (OCP) - (7808)

Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking a highly skilled Organizational Consulting Psychologist. This is a temporary position lasting 6 months.

Core Duties:

  1. Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
  2. Shall adhere to appropriate Army OTSG/MEDCOM, DHA, and/or Combatant Command Force Heath Protection policies for deployment assessments.
  3. Provides subject matter expertise and consultation to commanders or unit leadership (AD or DA CIV) on human performance factors, including applying policy, work schedule issues, managing maladaptive behaviors, resilience training, environmental challenges, and motivational strategies.
  4. Provides leadership coaching to help leaders at all levels leverage their personal leadership skills to maximize performance in personal, mission, and organizational goals.
  5. Provides coordination and liaison services between leadership and installation medical resources to identify appropriate resource needs for individuals and mission performance.
  6. Develops training and education for individuals and work groups that merge science and best practices of organizational and individual health and wellness with current DOD and Army policy.
  7. Travels to MSC’s as directed by the OTCS.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  2. Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or Industrial and Organizational psychology.
  3. Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  4. Security Clearance: Top Secret preferred, Secret clearance required.
  5. Experience:
  6. Minimum of six (6) years full-time treatment experience post-licensure; documented treatment supervision, oversight, and management experience.
  7. The ideal candidate will have experience in organizational psychology; organizational change management and communication; and operational consultation and liaising.
  8. Experience in training program development, behavioral interventions, critical incident response, public speaking, and case management.
  9. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
  10. Basic Life Support (BLS): possess and maintain current course completion documentation for BLS through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross-approved training program.

Knowledge/Skills:

  1. Ability to practice at the independent level with high ethical standards and demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and image in delivering psychological services.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel, officers, senior military and civilian leadership, spouses, and other family members.
  3. Ability to develop, prepare, and present formal briefings and speeches to INSCOM leadership (at all echelons).
  4. Understanding of the military lifestyle and culture is highly desirable.
  5. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally and work as part of a team with maturity, professionalism, positive attitude, tact, and good judgment.
  6. Ability to develop internal and external communication products, including but not limited to emails, flyers, presentations, and reports to convey information and facilitate stakeholder and senior leadership buy-in.
  7. A flexible individual who can meet multiple stakeholder needs, ability to meet tight deadlines, and has comfort in domestic and foreign travel. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
