Gopuff Operations Associate Job Description

Gopuff is seeking Operations Associates (OAs) to join our operations team. Reporting directly to a Site Leader, OAs are vital to our success, requiring drive, perseverance, positivity, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include picking, packing, receiving products within our site and kitchen (if applicable), and collaborating with partner drivers.

We serve customers with their everyday essentials—day and night, rain or shine. We aim to build a team of thinkers, dreamers, and risk-takers ready to reshape retail faster than ever. And if you enjoy snacks, you'll fit right in!

Responsibilities:
  • Pick and pack items for customer dispatch
  • Receive, unpack pallets, verify inventory, and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage inventory and re-shelving of canceled orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and facility
  • Manage waste and spoilage following FIFO practices
  • Communicate with customers regarding substitutions or out-of-stock items
  • Handle, scan, and move products safely and efficiently
  • Stand, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and walk during shifts
  • Use carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and equipment to move products
  • Handle products containing tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol
  • Work periodically in freezer locations
  • Walk several flights of stairs as needed
Food Service Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quality beverages and menu items following recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure accuracy in food and beverage packaging for delivery
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Receive and verify orders/invoices, resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain kitchen organization and manage waste and spoilage
  • Prepare, package, and stage/handoff orders
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in restaurant or retail (preferred but not required)
  • Flexible schedule, available during peak shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
  • Basic knowledge of web-based applications (e.g., Google G-Suite)
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
  • Lift up to 49 pounds
  • Availability for flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays

Pay:
  • Compensation varies by location and market conditions. For U.S. locations, Baltimore, MD salary range is $15.25/hour.
  • Starting pay depends on skills, experience, and location.
