Job description

A growing company is currently hiring a temporary Office/File Clerk. The hours will be full time Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The project is expected to last at least 3 months. This position may become permanent. The pay is $22 per hour.

There is opportunity for growth in this role or potential to be considered for other departments. The company provides paid training. This is a fast paced working environment with business casual dress attire and friendly coworkers. The company is seeking someone who has office skills and is willing to commit to the entire length of this project.

The File Clerk is responsible for:

  1. Pulling invoices and shipping documents from drawers and boxes.
  2. Scanning them and filing the documents back.
  3. Using standard office equipment and performing basic data entry and clerical duties.
  4. Other tasks as assigned.

Experience is not required; however, the ideal applicant will possess accounts payable and accounts receivable skills and have recent experience in accounting.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:

  1. Creating new client invoices, ranging from basic to complex.
  2. Tracking receivables and informing the office manager/bookkeeper of delinquent accounts.
  3. Running reports through Excel daily and performing weekly and end-of-month reporting for bookkeeper's review.
  4. Assisting on special projects with the bookkeeper or outside CPA.
  5. Assisting the payroll department on special projects when needed.
