Job summary

Publishers Circulation Fulfillment is seeking an experienced temporary worker for overnight/early morning warehouse operations in Belleville, NJ.

You will unload newspapers, assist DSPs, operate pallet jack and related equipment, and help maintain daily distribution center duties while meeting deadlines.

This non-exempt role requires driving and ability to lift heavy items, with weekend and night shifts common.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCF Center operations or related business operations.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift heavy items (30–50 lbs) repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all the daily operations at a Distribution Center.
• Unloads newspapers from delivery trucks, verifying receipt of proper amounts.
• Retrieves emails, prints and reviews paperwork, and distributes as needed in advance of operations.
• Competent in the use and maintenance of pallet jack, pallet walker, re-charger, strapping machine and other equipment.
• Assists drivers in off-loading tractor trailers, storing materials, and reloading trucks within established deadlines.
• May deliver open routes and/or show routes to new Delivery Service Providers.
• May deliver replacement copies at the customer’s request.
• Learn layout of routes serviced from the distribution center and periodically audit routes for visual verification of contractual compliance by the DSPs.
• Assist in maintaining a daily record of contracted routes serviced, dispatch times for trucks, system problems and answers to customer complaints.
• Occasionally, in the absence of DCMs or ADMs, prepares weekly route settlement to ensure accurate compensation to DSPs for services rendered.
• May function as a working leader on the floor occasionally, but normally does not have supervisory responsibilities.
• All other warehouse and housekeeping work as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
