Job summary

UConn Health Imaging in Farmington, CT seeks an experienced MRI Technologist for a temporary, full-time assignment. You will perform MRI exams safely and efficiently while delivering an exceptional patient experience in an outpatient setting.

The role is 12 weeks, Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–9:00 PM, with weekend shifts possible. Education requirements include an associate degree in Radiology and ARRT/ARMRIT registration with MRI specialization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT in Radiography or ARMRIT registration and current, with advanced MRI registration on hire.
• Must meet state licensure requirements where practice.

Temporary MRI Technologist – Full-Time | Farmington, CT

UConn Health Imaging is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team in Farmington, CT for a temporary, full-time assignment.

Position Summary:

As an MRI Tech, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering an exceptional patient experience. You’ll use your experience and expertise to perform MRI exams safely and efficiently while helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit. This fulltime opportunity is ideal for an experienced technologist who enjoys working in an outpatient imaging environment and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Temporary Position
• 12-week temporary assignment
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with the opportunity to pick up weekend shifts as needed
• Location: Outpatient imaging center in Farmington, CT @ 5 Munson Road, Ste 110
• Start Date: Friday, December 11, 2026
• Assignment Ends: Friday, March 5, 2027
• This temporary position is not benefits eligible.

Requirements

Education:

• Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

License/Certification Requirements:

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) and maintain current, valid registration.
• Advanced MRI registration through ARRT or ARMRIT is required upon hire.
• Must meet the applicable state licensure requirements for the state in which they practice.
