David Yurman is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Merchandising Coordinator in New York, NY to support the Assistant Manager of Merchandising across Men’s, High Jewelry, Wedding, and Timepiece categories. This role requires strong analytical skills, organizational prowess, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising/buying/planning experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and communicate findings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising & Assortment Management: support ongoing assortment across Men’s, High Jewelry, Wedding, and Timepieces.
• Maintain and update line plans, pricing grids, delivery trackers, and other merchandising files.
• Assist with seasonal market preparation and market readiness files.
• Support High Jewelry lookbook maintenance, one-pager creation, and product updates.
• Collaborate with Assistant Manager to ensure accuracy across tools and reporting.
• Utilize PLM, Oracle, and Sigma for daily merchandising functions.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports.
• Support Wedding pricing updates and product information management.
• Assist with special creation pricing across Men’s, Wedding, and High Jewelry.

Job Description

Position Overview

David Yurman is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Merchandising Coordinator to support the Assistant Manager of Merchandising across the Men’s, High Jewelry, Wedding, and Timepiece categories. This role will assist with daily merchandising activities, sales and inventory reporting, assortment management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure continuity of business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandising & Assortment Management Support ongoing assortment management across Men's, High Jewelry, Wedding, and Timepieces
• Maintain and update line plans, pricing grids, delivery flow trackers, and other ad hoc merchandising files
• Assist with seasonal market preparation, including the creation, maintenance, and organization of market readiness files under the guidance of the Assistant Manager
• Support High Jewelry lookbook maintenance, one-pager creation, and product assortment updates
• Partner closely with the Assistant Manager to ensure accuracy and consistency across merchandising tools, files, and reporting
• Reporting & Business Analysis Utilize internal systems, including PLM, Oracle, and Sigma, to support daily merchandising functions and business needs
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports
• Support Wedding pricing updates, product information management, and competitive analysis as needed
• Assist with special creation pricing across Men's, Wedding, and High Jewelry

Qualifications

• Previous experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or a related retail function preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and communicate findings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Estimate Pay Rate

Estimate Pay Rate: $30 - $33/hour Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
