Job summary

Anthropologie, part of URBN, is seeking a Temporary Merchandise Assistant to support the daily operational functions within the Functional Décor buying team, focusing on managing the overall merchandise flow. You will develop cross-functional relationships with market partners, distribution centers, design, and production, and partner with Buyers on essential tasks.

You will own web turnover, SKU tracking, and sample management, maintain item photos for systems, and conduct weekly web audits.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Understanding of customer wants/needs and ability to identify appropriate product/trend.
• Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks.
• Must demonstrate creative thinking.
• Rudimentary understanding of retail math.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and digital fluency to learn new programs.
• Prioritize workload; ability to multi-task, organize and problem-solve.
• Attention to detail and follow-through to completion.
• 1-2 years retail experience or internship.

Responsibilities

• Own web turnover and product information.
• Manage all sample requests and SKU tracking (web photo samples, creative, visual & marketing requests).
• Maintain digital photographs of items on order and in development for systems needs.
• Support product development process through sample management.
• Responsible for tracking, shipping and receiving including returning samples to vendors promptly.
• Communicate changes/updates to cross-functional teams and partners.
• Balance/understand priorities for sample needs.
• Conduct weekly web audit to ensure styles/colors are activated and report findings.
