Job description

The City of Kodiak Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for temporary Maintenance Assistants.

Employee is responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and some semi‑skilled maintenance activities under direction of more experienced personnel.

Essential Duties

• Perform routine maintenance duties on applicable facilities, tools, and equipment under direction of supervisory personnel, which may include lawn maintenance, digging, loading/unloading materials, and related duties.
• Provide routine assistance to skilled staff with repairs and maintenance activities as assigned.
• Operate light equipment and vehicles and perform routine maintenance activities as necessary.
