Position Information

Ball State University Recreation Services is seeking to hire temporary lifeguards for the summer season. Recreation Services, part of Business and Auxiliary Services, manages facilities and programs with a focus on safety, customer service, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications, qualifications, and demeanor to serve effectively as a lifeguard.

Salary	Starting at $10.50/hour

Hours per Week	20-29
Pre-Employment Screening	Background check required
Position Function	Ensure safe and effective use of university pools
Minimum Education	Current certification in Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA)
Minimum Experience	Certification in Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR
Minimum Other	Must be at least 16 years old
Authorization to work in the US	Must have valid work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Experience	Additional lifeguarding experience in a public pool setting
