Instructional Design Contractor

Job Purpose/Overview

We are seeking a contract Instructional Designer to provide short-term support in developing and refining learning and training materials for a large-scale internal event.

This role will focus primarily on organizing, formatting, and enhancing existing content to create clear, engaging, and effective learning materials. The contractor will collaborate with internal stakeholders to support knowledge transfer and learner engagement through presentations, worksheets, and facilitated activities.

This is a hands‑on, project‑based role suited for an individual with strong instructional design fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within established templates and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and refine instructor‑led training materials, including presentations, worksheets, job aids, and workshop activities.
• Organize and format existing content to improve clarity, consistency, and learner engagement.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to support effective knowledge transfer.

Contract Details

• Engagement Type: Temporary, project-based independent contractor (1099)
• Duration: January 4 - Early/Mid-March 2027
• Estimated Hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Hourly Rate: $45/hour
• Work Arrangement: Remote
• Travel: None anticipated

This engagement focuses on presentation development, content formatting, and instructor‑led learning materials. Multimedia production, video development, and eLearning course creation are not required.
