Temporary Instructor of Humanities - Durham Campus

Join NCSSM as a Temporary Instructor of Humanities at the Durham Campus. We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach introductory high school courses in the Connect program, focusing on media studies and cultural analysis.

Position Details
  • Type: Temporary, 10-month, part-time, up to 12.5 hours/week
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, synchronous teaching via Zoom or studio
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience
  • Period: 8/20/2025 - 5/19/2026
Responsibilities
  • Deliver live, synchronous courses in media studies to high school students across North Carolina
  • Develop and communicate clear course objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and resources
  • Participate in professional development activities
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Media Studies, Cultural Studies, Social Studies, or related field, or Education with a technical Bachelor’s
