Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah County is seeking a Temporary Instructional Technician – Lane 1. The position pays $17.35 per hour, 4.25 hours per day, 5 days per week, 177 days per year, with no benefits. Must be at least 18 years old; project runs Sep–Oct 2026.

The role supports teachers by delivering instructional activities, administering tests, and assisting with students' reading, math, and language goals under supervision. Placement on the salary schedule is finalized by HR and Payroll.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintains accurate records and uses basic software and office equipment.
• Criminal background clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers tests for the purpose of assisting the teacher in evaluating students' progress.
• Administers student evaluations and progress assessments for the information needed by teachers to determine remediation.
• Confers with teachers to assist in evaluating progress and implementing objectives.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans to improve students' academic success.
• Implements classroom materials to reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Monitors students to provide a safe, positive learning environment.
• Participates in in-service workshops to receive or convey job information.
• Provides direct instructional services to individuals or small groups under supervision.
• Responds to emergencies to resolve safety concerns and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other related duties to ensure efficient functioning.
