Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah County seeks an ESL Technician – Lane 2 to support English language learners within the instructional program. You will assist with assessments, translations, and classroom tasks under a certified teacher and district ESL specialist.

Position features 5 hours/day, 5 days/week, 177 days/year; starting pay $17.81/hour; bilingual English/Spanish required; placement reviewed by HR, with no benefits offered for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
• Job-related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Administers tests, homework, make-up work, and assessments to support teachers in the classroom.
• Assists students individually or in groups with assignments under a certified teacher.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans to reinforce concepts.
• Maintains ESL documents and student folders for accurate documentation.
• Translates verbal and written communications for students, teachers, and parents.
• Performs other duties to support the work unit.
