We are looking for a Temporary HR Officer in the US to cover someone on maternity leave. The role is from 6 months, starting in early June and ending in November. If you have a passion for people and are interested in HR matters, this role might be perfect for you. Keep reading!

  • As a Temporary HR Officer, you will assist with all internal and external HR-related matters, working closely with the Human Resources team at Mediagenix headquarters.
  • You will manage the employee database, produce and maintain HR reports, compile employee documentation, and keep the SharePoint database updated. You will also encourage and support US staff in using the employee database.
  • You will be responsible for payroll, benefits, and health insurance processes, working directly with our PEO.
  • You will participate in developing and updating organizational guidelines and procedures based on changes to laws and regulations.
  • You will coordinate onboarding activities and stay up-to-date with HR laws, trends, and best practices across relevant states.
  • You will collaborate with our legal team on compliance, registrations, and business licenses.
  • You will work closely with colleagues, including the Managing Director, VP of Operations, and HQ finance, legal, and admin services, reporting to the Chief People Officer.
Your interests and skills
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • You have payroll processing experience; familiarity with a PEO is a plus.
  • You possess a strong understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • You demonstrate a hands-on, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach, with skills in analysis, documentation, and creative problem-solving.
  • Ideally, you reside in South Florida.
  • You can commit to 5-6 months starting early June, with an option to start two weeks earlier if needed.
  • You are authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
