Job summary

Marriott Hotels seeks a maintenance engineer to respond to guest repair requests and coordinate preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role requires proficiency in multiple trades with emphasis on safety and compliance with hotel standards.

The engineer will inspect equipment, operate shut-offs, and train others while supporting surface work, painting, and rooms maintenance. A valid driver’s license and CFC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Experience with maintenance programs and energy management systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and systems.
• Inspect and identify issues, locate shutdown valves, and operate equipment.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance work.
• Program TVs and assist with housekeeping and engineering tasks.
• Support with painting, drywall, and carpentry as needed.
