Job summary

Snap Fitness Inver Grove Heights is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to keep the gym clean and safe for members. Primary duties include cleaning facility and equipment, replenishing supplies, and reporting maintenance needs.

Must have at least 6 months of cleaning experience, read/write English, and able to lift up to 30 pounds. Work 5-7 hours weekly, mornings to early afternoons, including weekends. References required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe gym environment for members.
• Clean gym facility and equipment according to cleaning checklist.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and clean bathrooms; windows and mirrors.
• Restock consumables (toilet paper, towels, soap, trash bags).
• Report maintenance needs and supply replacements to management.

The primary responsibility is to perform general upkeep of the gym and provide a clean environment for members.

Essential Functions

Maintains a clean and safe environment for members.

• Cleans gym facility & equipment in accordance with the cleaning checklist.
• Ensures all areas are clean and litter free, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, windows, mirrors, cleaning/wipe down of cardio and weight equipment, functional training area, and bathrooms.
• Picks up trash in all areas of the gym and dispose in dumpster.
• Restock and replace all consumable items (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.)
• Advises assistant anagers of needs to maintain facility: repairs needed, replacement of light bulbs, etc.
• Gather lost and found items from throughout the gym.

Minimum Requirements

At least 6 month's work experience in a cleaning/janitorial position.

Job Type: Part-Time Position. Approximately 5-7 hours per week (including weekends) during morning/early afternoon hours between 8:00am - 2:00pm.

Experience

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements

All applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low and work at a constant pace, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, ability to communicate with manager. Applicants must be detail oriented. Janitorial, custodial or general cleaning experience preferred.
