A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and providing outstanding guest service to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing the registration process, inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, converting foreign currency, and managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Having thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details, to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Receiving, inputting, retrieving, and relaying messages to guests.
